The Hanged Man is a complex card with many interpretations. The common denominator is to be stuck in a situation or escape a situation through one's interest. The 12 number is the number of the complete parts of the universe as well as the 12 zodiac signs as a symbol of the totality and when everything is complete, the finality remains to behold the spirit to give up the valuable as when the whole closes itself, that is when we understand something about ourselves.
The hanged woman is actually the hanged man but I have changed the gender identity of them just because I think it would be a woman easily as it is a punishment to hang upside down. It is often when this card is pulled to give up on the world let everything take its course. and, at worst, being disenchanted with existence
not being able to handle their situation in an otherwise correct way. But often it's about looking deeper into the mystery of existence. In the garden tarot, I have illustrated the hanged woman attached to a tree and in her stuck position of being disenchanted with her condition, she sees more the forest for the trees, that the forest suddenly comes to life in a human way and takes on a spiritual form instead of just being a tree. At a stone by the pond I have placed a frog as an emblem of the voice of her conscience or spiritual self which in a state of rest and silence suddenly comes to the fore to make itself heard.
