Facing your shadow side and being accountable for your karma and the sides you don't want to be confronted with can be one of the most challenging things we humans face sometimes. can be one of the most challenging things we humans face at times. to be attracted to things for unknown reasons that we don't know what it is we are being drawn into, that we don't want to be in front of. we sometimes don't want to be in front of. We paint a picture so different from the one we think we are facing by a dark force that twists our minds.

The devil can appear false and deceitful with evil intentions, deceiving or tricking someone with words and actions. Something that doesn't match the costume that we encounter and to pretend to be good and honest and hide their less good intentions, which are many times not good and well-intentioned. Those who fall victim to the devil's intentions may also not be the best individuals but buy the devil's intentions without questioning his intention with things. Rather, they too may carry the evil one's own intentions but in a different form.

To lure or tempt with what may appear to be a benign act that has no value or intention of serving any good purpose. The devil has a purpose as our shadowy figure who appears from time to time in our lives on different levels and gives us a lesson in our behavior and tests our own perhaps not always pure and thoughtful decisions and actions

we believe that we are often helpless in the devil's power, stuck in the shackles of evil, which we rarely are, or that we may unknowingly allow ourselves to be captured and remain stuck in the devil's power until we strike back and do everything in our power to escape situations that we ourselves have caused.

In the garden tarot I have chosen to illustrate the devil in the form of a troll. the devil looks very ordinary while the devil appears with hairy legs and a tail that reveals that the devil is not quite human. The devil has a piece of mandrake in his hand, which he tempts the young man who thinks he is imprisoned, although he is free. There is a tree growing by the devil's cottage that represents death and life in its dual aspect depending on the perspective from which it is viewed. So the card tells you how far you have to go to be trapped in the devil's clutches.
