Opening up to dreams and looking beyond and opening up to the allure of ideas and visions so that life is set on a completely different plane from what is already materialised and presented. To choose between everything that the emotions present as possible choices or disappointments as unproduced or materialised desires and hopes.
Seven of Cups opens up to visions dreams the will to manifest and see potential in life, but also illusions and wishful thinking that have no basis to be manifested in the physical form as we know it. This leads in some cases to disappointment and perhaps even more so to sitting in a sea of emotions full of contemplation without acting in any form. Even if opportunities are given to realise the dreams of the beholder of these, they may just be passing dreams if one is not able to concretise these and may just be content to have these as castles in the air without any effort. Sitting around doing wishful thinking without having a roadmap makes them perhaps even more distant from the sweetness of their beholder.
Having a grounding and practical approach and a strategy to just make something of these feelings and thoughts feel its essence. Don't get sidetracked by daydreaming and fancy promises but act to its full power to absorb that experience or let those sick away from a firmly rooted reality experience and concrete action makes this make an imprint of what is desired.
There are many dreams and just as many choices to make that open up to create a connection with what the essence of the desires, dreams and visions form. this also says a lot about those who create illusions and dreams of castles in the air.
In The Garden Tarot, I have had the card illustrated by a man looking at his desires and hopes like mirages, seeing how the mind and soul present themselves to us with the attractions of our inner vision and sometimes how, like things in a shop window, they lead us to attach ourselves to the illusions that our deepest desires project onto us to capture our various urges and passions in our minds. They come out of nowhere, but in our world they are alive and vital as long as they can enchant us with their magical attraction.
"Upright"
This card Seven of Cups indicates of dreams, fantasies, illusions and visions. Keep your head in the sky, but not your feet on the ground. Temptations and enticements. The card also indicates choices, like standing between different choices. Hesitant, lost, creative, having many balls in the air. Disillusioned.
"Reversed"
The card's position suggests clairvoyance and the disappearance of illusions. A choice is clear, an end to dreams, more grounded, balanced.
