The Garden Tarot

For 6 years, I have been creating a tarot deck inspired by my interest in gardening and cultivation. My dream has been for a long time of my life to create a tarot deck a tarot deck as an artist mystic to have a self-designed deck at hand as a tarot reader. So there has been a longing to find something that you stand for 100% and not just 90%.

Ever since a friend of mine came home for lunch a very long time ago in my then apartment, she said to my apartment she sat and said to me that she would like to create large paintings of the Rider Waite game. ten years later I made a large a large painting of The High Priestess which I understood because the work took several months to complete. To paint 78 such paintings would take me half if not the whole of my life to complete so I gave up my ambitions to do any more such works.

But then one beautiful summer day I sat on my neighbour's terrace at the summer cottage and drank coffee. Janne as his name asked me what I would do when I had now finished the house and if I had something to put my teeth in.
I replied that I would try to start making a tarot deck if I managed to make 20 sketches in a month, which I did, and some more. more. I thought from the beginning that it should be something personal and hopefully, something that was a bit unique and also why I chose to make a design based on a favourite hobby and interest of mine. pursuit and interest.

What I know is just a garden, there are not so many who have used pure nature as an inspirational theme for a tarot deck. tarot deck. nature as a hobby grower and garden lover suited me nicely, I thought. I have used some of my inspiration from my garden and the feeling of the nature that I have come into contact with during life. .

On this page you can all see my tarot cards from the deck and click on the meanings and see a larger picture of the 78 cards on the page.
